It’s Charlotte here, a commenter for the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey. You have done some amazing work on the ‘Ngā mihi o te tau hou’ task!
I see you have included the dutch translation! My family and I are actually from the country called Holland (Which is where dutch is spoken) so I was very excited to read this on your blog. Are you from New Zealand? Or are you from another country? How do they pronounce Happy New Year in your country?
Out of all the languages that you used in your post, what one did you find the most interesting to learn about?
If you want to get even more points for the Summer Learning Journey, you can give the ‘Step it up’ challenge for this activity a go! You can find this using this link. This requires you to Choose ten ways of saying Happy New Year in different languages and then to record yourself saying Happy New Year in these different languages.
Keep up the fantastic blogging! Ngā mihi nui Charlotte Summer Learning Journey
